Powerful third-party transactional data

The fast-casual restaurant chain’s basic digital marketing vendor couldn’t efficiently attract the right consumers near specific locations and link in-restaurant purchases to online activity. Partnering with Epsilon helped the chain address these needs.

Using third-party transactional data, we identified and messaged customers who purchased at the restaurant in the past 12 months as well as those who purchased from key competitors but not the client in the past 12 months. This data helped the restaurant engage current customers for upsell and activation, drive media efficiency by reaching the right customers and customize audients with the help of MarketView intelligence.

Our transparent measurement made it easy for the restaurant to see both online and offline sales. Ultimately, our campaign drove 12% of the brand’s total measurable revenue with a $0.25 eCPA for online and offline sales, exceeding expectations.

Existing customers represented 35% of the unique campaign reach, with a conversion rate of 13.5%—5X higher than competitors’ customers.
