CHICAGO, IL – July 20, 2015 – Epsilon, the global leader in creating connections between people and brands, today announced GlaxoSmithKline’s Nicorette/Nicoderm CQ “What’s Your Why” campaign took home top honors at the Chicago Association of Direct Marketing (CADM) Tempo Awards.

The multichannel campaign, which drove brand engagement by focusing on the emotional side of quitting smoking, was awarded the Past Presidents’ award, in a ceremony on July 16 in Chicago, IL. The Past Presidents’ award, the top honors at this event, recognizes overall excellence in creativity and marketing innovation. The winner of this coveted award is selected from all the first-place winners in marketing and creative categories and is judged by past presidents of CADM. The team also took home first place in the Integrated Marketing category.

“The campaign was designed to create deep engagement and an emotional connection with consumers by putting the goals of those who wanted to quit smoking front and center and focusing on what the future holds when they achieve success,” shared Karen Gebhart, Vice President, General Manager, Epsilon. “Through carefully crafted messages and warm, evocative imagery the brand was able to forge this emotional connection with quitters across digital, social, in-store and traditional platforms, inviting quitters to simply share their ‘why'.”
